Winter Wonderland
Living in Canada for the last 15 years of my life I've survived some cold (freezing) winters. However, I will admit that when a fresh layer of snow covers the city the setting is just magical. Trees covered in snow look like they're straight out of Narnia. The Canadian Rockies are one of those places that are imposing with their natural beauty and in my mind a perfect setting for a winter wedding. Heart Month - Red Red Red!
It's that time again, February is upon us and love is in the air. Some people think V-day is too commercialized and others wait all year long for Feb 14th. I always wonder how many people will actually get engaged on this day. I know the Holidays are a popular time for proposals, but is Valentine's Day? How about for weddings? If you were proposed to or decided to get married on V-day send me a note and some pictures of your special day. Below is an entry that focuses on the color R.E.D. and how you can incorporate it in your wedding day.
I'm not sure about every culture, but I know that back home (former Yugoslavia) people receive envelopes containing money as weddings gifts. I know this is true for the Italian culture as well as the Chinese, but I'm not sure about others. Let me know if it's also a tradition in yours!

Guitar - Steal a Little Piece of my Heart now Baby.
Some people actually have musical talents, unlike me. They love their craft and sometimes they're really good at it. My friend Tareya Green is an amazing singer and guitar/piano musician. Her voice is like soft rain drops. When I considered incorporating guitars/guitar picks/rock and roll into an engagement photo session and wedding I think of people like Tareya who could serenade the entire room with one of her originals. For whom holding her guitar in a photo shoot would feel truly authentic. Here are some cool ways to incorporate M.U.S.I.C. into your day (other then hiring a killer band, or a world renown DJ).
